Right next door to The Evanston Suites is a small cafe serving breakfast and lunch, and best of all: homemade donuts. Our family has varying opinions on the sit-down breakfast, but we all love the donuts!
We probably send our kids over to pick up donuts for all of us too often, but they are so yummy and they’re just right there! The donut case is stocked with pretty much all the kinds you’d expect: glazed, chocolate frosted, maple glazed, long johns, Boston creme, and lots more.
There’s scones, muffins, cookies, and homemade bread, too. They also have soft-serve ice cream for a cheap treat (under $2 for a cone, I think).
You might hear Upper Crust Cafe also called Daily Bread, as that was their former name and a lot of the locals still call it Daily Bread. Either way, it’s located at 627 N. River Street, right next door to The Evanston Suites.
